De Duitse krant Bild heeft even kritisch gekeken naar de arbeidsvoorwaarden van de Griekse ambtenaren. Daaruit blijkt dat de staatsmedewerkers premies krijgen voor bijna alles. Op tijd komen, handen wassen en werken bij zeven graden: alles levert geld op.

Duitsland moet als grootste Euroland het meeste bijdragen aan de steun aan de Grieken en het land zal niet bij worden als ze zien waar de steuneuro’s heen gaan. Dankzij de vele idiote premies, zoals een premie voor werken bij temperaturen onder de acht graden, kan een maandsalaris van een ambtenaar flink oplopen. Een inkomen van 3908 euro kan worden verhoogd naar 8675 euro dankzij alle premies.

Naast de premies zijn er ook nog de extraatjes die het werken voor de Griekse overheid fijn maken. Medewerkers van de Griekse premier ontvangen zestien maandsalarissen per jaar. Een nachtwaker bij een staatsbedrijf kan jaarlijks 72.000 euro verdienen en werknemers bij datzelfde bedrijf mogen vijf dagen per jaar gratis op vakantie in een hotel naar keuze.

Het mag dan ook geen verrassing zijn dat alle staatsbedrijven verlies lijden.

Personally I loved all of the brightly colored houses on Burano, it’s a very pretty place. Definitely visit the glass factory at Murano. You can visit the islands pretty cheaply by taxi boat. Most gondola rides are about 80 euros… I would suggest finding a few people to split the cost with. If that’s out of your budget, there are plenty of water buses which can be crowded but very fun, and definitely only a tiny fraction of the cost of a gondola ride.

Burano has lace and all of that. It is one of those places that could be visited in about an hour.Murano is a little more interesting to walk through (especially the residential neighborhoods)In Venice I recall some bar that sold absinthe and I am trying to remember the name of the gelato place that I really really liked. (considered some of the best in the city)For dinner La Zucca is good. Vegetarian and meat options and a dandy pumpkin flan that is just terrific for a starter.

Usually yes. They try to let out comprehensive narofmition sometimes, usually since they have such a large area to cover. What they do have is quite reliable, though.
