Kabinet scherpt eis aan EU-begroting aan

DEN HAAG - Het kabinet scherpt zijn standpunt over de stijging van de EU-begroting voor volgend jaar aan. Eerder was het kabinet nog bereid in te stemmen met een verhoging ter hoogte van de inflatiecorrectie, maar onder druk van de Tweede Kamer streeft het kabinet nu naar een „nominale bevriezing” van de EU-begroting voor 2012. Dat betekent dat er geen cent bij mag komen op de begroting van ongeveer 127 miljard euro.

Dat blijkt uit een brief van minister Jan Kees de Jager van Financiën aan de Tweede Kamer. Hij legt zich nu toch neer bij de wens van een Kamermeerderheid die zich onlangs aansloot bij een motie van de Kamerleden Ronald Plasterk (PvdA) en Joël Voordewind (ChristenUnie).
Plasterk is tevreden. „Goed dat de Kamer de premier af en toe aan zijn jasje trekt. Daardoor heeft het kabinet zijn standpunt aangescherpt.”

Burano has lace and all of that. It is one of those places that could be visited in about an hour.Murano is a little more interesting to walk through (especially the residential neighborhoods)In Venice I recall some bar that sold absinthe and I am trying to remember the name of the gelato place that I really really liked. (considered some of the best in the city)For dinner La Zucca is good. Vegetarian and meat options and a dandy pumpkin flan that is just terrific for a starter.

Finally I didn't go to the islands, it's not that I didn't want, but I had less time than I uohtght to begin with.We were travelling a lot with the vaporettas, which was really nice, it was great to see everything from the water. I found it too expensive to take a gondola ride, and also too much tourist-style ;)
